As Business Development Manager you…
…are overall responsible for Sales and Marketing in the Americas in line with corporate strategy
…target (multi)national organizations with regional or global decision making
…sell the full SaaSplaza Cloud portfolio including Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and associated managed services for Azure and Dynamics solutions
…work with Microsoft and our mutual ISV partners to drive customer adoption helping to fuel the growth of our managed services business
…take a leadership role in driving the company forward in terms of Strategy and P&L
…are identifying and closing major new revenue deals, while maintaining the existing customer base trough a combination of service manager and operational teams.
More about the role…
From our San Diego office of 20 people, you lead the commercial activities in the Americas. You develop opportunities with prospects and existing clients on your own and with your team of 1-2 account managers. You have the ambition to grow the Americas business in revenues and staffing based on clear results into a larger organization and market leader in Managed Azure Services.
You report straight line to the GM Americas and align regularly with the CEO of SaaSplaza based in Amsterdam, and global commercial colleagues, sharing intelligence about global commercial activities. You support your team to achieve revenue and other objectives to create customer and financial success in the Americas.
What makes you special…
You have a strong commercial drive, with hands on mentality. You’re passionate about technology with a bachelor’s degree in Business or IT and 5 years of work experience within a similar job role. You have generated clear growth results based on strategic and commercial planning, great people skills and relentless operational sales execution. You do sales activity management based on clear KPI’s. You are an excellent communicator in English with the leadership traits to inspire people to work with and for you. You have the commercial and communication skills to be a member of the AMER leadership team, and soundboard for the General Manager Americas. You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics solutions, and general cloud solutions, and know SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS like the back of your hand. You're an organized self-starter with can-do attitude, a team player working closely with the American MT and Global Sales leadership team. You are a captivating presenter to clients during deal stages and trade shows and a good networker towards our strategic partner Microsoft.

...working with the AMER team to create a winning solution in a Request for Proposal for an e-commerce client who wants to power their platform 24x7 in the Microsoft Cloud.
…presenting our service portfolio at a trade show in Washington for our partners and end-customers, including customer-specific (online) demonstrations.
...driving a 2 day workshop in Seattle with Microsoft leadership teams to design and execute joint GTM plans.
…visiting one of your top 10 Dynamics partners and discuss how we can expand revenues through a win-win sales and marketing approach.
